PART- TIME RADIO PROMOTION INTERNSHIP – SUMMER 2002

KFOG 104.5/97.7 seeks part-time, paid interns to work with the KFOG Promotion Department for the Summer Semester. Candidates will assist the Marketing and Promotion staff with promotions, public relations and special events throughout the Bay Area. Internship also includes some office and clerical work, as well as contest and event coordination. In addition, interns will assist sister stations KNBR, 107.7 The BONE, and The Ticket 1050 with their promotions when needed, giving each intern a broad experience in radio. Be a part of a fun, fast-paced environment! Each job opening averages approximately 20 hours per week and includes days, nights, and weekends.

Positions require the following:

Must be a currently enrolled college student or have graduated from college within the last year
Must have a valid California Driver’s license and a clean driving record
Must have a GPA of C or above
Course of study affiliated/congruent with communications is preferred
Must have good communication skills - phone and writing
Must have office skills - typing and Microsoft Word/Windows
Must be familiar with the KFOG format
Must have flexible hours and be able to work at least 20 hours per week

JOB OPENING
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, KFOG RADIO (SUSQUEHANNA RADIO CORP.)
Location: San Francisco, California

KFOG 104.5/97.7 Radio is looking to hire dynamic Account Executives to sell air time, station events and station website. Candidates must have the ability to develop new business, make face-to-face sales calls, manage account list, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and sales goals and deal effectively with other station departments. Training will be provided immediately to include prospecting, cold calling, sales presentations, negotiating and closing skills, media knowledge, event and web sales and coverage of topics such as agency strategy and client level selling.

Qualifications:
1. Must have at least 2-3 years outside sales experience.
2. Business, Marketing or Broadcasting degree preferable.
3. Computer knowledge, Word, Excel, Strata (a plus).
4. Must own a personal car.
