We appreciate your participation in the annual Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge Run in San Francisco, benefiting Special Olympics Northern California.
PRE-RACE ACTIVITIES
At Justin Herman Plaza behind the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, where Market meets the Embarcadero, you can
1) Register (from 7:00am to 8:45am)
2) Pick up your race bib at Will Call
3) Drop off your sweats and other clothing at the Sweats truck
4) Make sure you're hydrated and
5) Warm up and stretch!
START TIME AND LOCATION
12K Run and 7K runners/walkers start together from the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero at 9:00am - RAIN OR SHINE.
PARKING AND POST-RACE SHUTTLES
You may park in any of The Embarcadero Center Garages on race day between 5:00am and 9:00am; upon leaving, simply show your bib number to the attendant to pay the special $10 Bridge Run parking rate. There is no expiration time on when you will be required to leave that day. By the way, there is parking available on the streets near Justin Herman Plaza, but please check the meters carefully for restrictions. There will be free shuttle buses from the post-race Expo back to Justin Herman Plaza and these will run 9:30am to 1:00pm.
RACE BIB NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS
Bib numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt on the course, in the finish chutes, for photos, and to receive official Bridge to Bridge t-shirt and refreshments. The orange timing chip attached to your bib should be removed and affixed to your shoe - see instructions on the chip.
SWEATS
The sweats truck for transporting your outerwear will be located at the far corner of Justin Herman Plaza and tables will be well-marked. Please make sure your sweatshirts and sweatpants are marked with your name and phone number. PLEASE DO NOT CHECK VALUABLES - RACE PRODUCERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS! Be green and bring your own reusable bag, pre-marked with your bib number.
FINISH LINE TIMING
All registered runners will be timed using Chip Timing. The orange timing chip will come affixed to your race bib with instructions on how to affix it to your shoe; here are full instructions on how to attach the chip (.pdf). Overall winners will be determined by gun/horn time. Age division winners will be determined by chip time. Finish line timing is being provided by It’s About Time/Buzzword Productions.
COURSE NOTE
Important: At 11:00am, all runners/walkers still on the course will be asked to move to the sidewalk, so that vehicle traffic may resume on the roads.
EXPANDED AWARDS/AGE DIVISIONS
Awards announced from main stage around 11:00am: 7K & 12K prizes to Male & Female as follows: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall (all ages) and 1st Place Masters (40+). Awards to be picked up at Age Division Tent: 7K & 12K Medals / 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female in these age categories: 8-12 • 13-16 • 17-29 • 30-39 • 40-49 • 50-59 • 60-69 • 70-79 • 80+.
RESULTS
Race results will be posted race day at the Expo afterwards and also online here at bridgetobridge.com following the race. Note: The finish line will be operational until 11:30am.
OFFICIAL BRIDGE TO BRIDGE T-SHIRT
All registered participants can pick up their t-shirt at the Expo after the race. Adult sizes S, M, L, XL will be available. NOTE: A limited number of XXL will be available. To reserve an XXL - email [email protected]). WE ARE NOT ABLE TO GUARANTEE T-SHIRT SIZE - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Thanks to artist Scott Springer for this year's t-shirt design.
POST-RACE EXPO LOCATION
The finish line/Race Expo are at the Presidio Parade Grounds. If friends and family are meeting you at the Expo, direct them to park at lots identified as the "Main Post Parking Lot" or the "Main Post Parade Ground." For directions via the internet, use "4 Graham Street, San Francisco, CA 94129." Please note: It is important that you include the zip code 94129!
POST-RACE EXPO AND CONCERT
Join us for the Post-Race Expo on the Presidio Parade Grounds, featuring a free concert on the KFOG Main Stage starting at 9:00am. The Expo area includes KNBR Sports Pavilion, health and lifestyle booths, massages courtesy of Glide Floss, food, beverages and more. There will also be a Kids Zone with interactive games and a children's stage with jugglers and magicians.
BABY JOGGERS
Baby joggers are welcome, but please be respectful of other participants and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
MISSING BIB?
If you requested that your bib be mailed and you still have not received yours, please go to the Will Call booth on Sunday morning and we will issue you a replacement bib.
